Take Action: Protect Her, Protect Each Other

If You See Something, Say Something

Every woman deserves to feel safe — and every woman has the power to protect another.
Action starts with awareness, but it becomes powerful when we step up together. Whether you’re a friend on a night out, a bartender, or an event organizer, your choices can make the difference between danger and safety.  When something doesn’t feel right — act.
You don’t need to be an expert to make an impact. Sometimes it’s as simple as checking in, speaking up, or alerting staff.
Be the woman who notices. Be the one who steps in.

Ways to take action right now: Check in with anyone who seems uncomfortable, get a bartender, bouncer, or manager involved if something feels off, offer to stay with someone who looks vulnerable or alone and share safety posts online using #SomebodysDaughter to spread awareness.

Become an Ally Venue

Bars, restaurants, and event spaces can become official Somebody’s Daughter Ally Locations — joining a national network of businesses committed to women’s safety. As an Ally, your venue will:

  • Display Somebody’s Daughter posters and table signs.
  • Train staff to recognize and respond to safety signals.
  • Offer safe zones and visible support staff.
  • Provide free water, phone charging, and safe ride options.

🧠 Get Certified: “Watch Out” Training

  • Knowledge saves lives. Our Watch Out Training Sessions teach practical tools to help women and staff act fast and smart in high-risk situations.  You’ll learn:  How to identify predatory behavior or distress signals.  Safe, discreet ways to intervene or alert staff.  How to comfort and support someone after an incident.  When you complete the program, you’ll receive a Certified Safety Ally badge — showing your commitment to protecting women in your community.
